Game recap: Lexington High School Football Team wins against Ridgeview

COLFAX, Ill. - Lexington (Ill.) took the final lead of the game on Saturday as Logan Kolat ran for a touchdown with with under a minute left in the third quarter, bringing the team to victory over Ridgeview (Colfax, Ill.) 19-12.

The score was knotted at zero heading into the half. The Minutemen took the lead indefinitely on a touchdown run by Kolat in the third quarter.

Lexington avenged last year's 34-26 loss to the Mustangs with the victory.

The win was a nice bounce back for LHS, which lost to Gibson City-Melvin-Sibley last week, 40-0.

In a Heart of Illinois game next week Ridgeview (0-2) takes on Heyworth, and Lexington (1-1) will go up against Flanagan/Woodland also in a Heart of Illinois game.
