Basketball Recap: Hannibal Takes a Loss

Hannibal was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss dating back to last season. They were beaten by the Jordan-Elbridge Eagles 80-43. While losing is never fun, the Warriors can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 564th, while the Eagles are ranked 193rd).

Hannibal's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Jordan-Elbridge, they moved to 4-3 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Hannibal will head out on the road to challenge Solvay at 6:30 p.m. on January 6th. As for Jordan-Elbridge, they will host Port Byron at 7:00 p.m. on January 6th. Jordan-Elbridge is facing Port Byron at the right time seeing as Port Byron is stuck on a six-game losing streak.
