Baseball Recap: St. Pauls Bulldogs vs. Midway Raiders
St. Pauls extended their losing streak to three on Friday, dropping their season record down to 9-13 in the process. They lost 15-5 to the Midway Raiders. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Raiders this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 1-0 on Tuesday.
Jaylen Jacobs made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with two runs and one RBI. Jaden Parker was another key player, going 1-for-2 with one run and one RBI.
As for Midway, the victory (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 18-6. Their hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.
On Midway's side, Carson Tew was incredible, going 3-for-4 with three runs and one triple. That's the most runs Tew has posted since back in April. The team also got some help courtesy of Luke Peterson, who went 1-for-3 with three RBI and one double.
As of now, neither St. Pauls nor Midway have any future games scheduled.
