Softball Recap: Rushford-Peterson Takes a Loss

Rushford-Peterson's last matchup with Wabasha-Kellogg could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's contest on Monday. The Trojans came up short against the Falcons, falling 19-2. Having soared to a lofty 11 runs in the game before, the Trojans couldn't push the score so high this time.

Rushford-Peterson saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Torryn Schneider, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

Rushford-Peterson now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Wabasha-Kellogg, the victory was their first on the road , bumping their record up to 2-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Rushford-Peterson will face off against Chatfield at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Gophers will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something the Trojans surely won't give up without a fight. As for Wabasha-Kellogg, they will square off against Durand-Arkansaw at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
