Volleyball Recap: Oakman Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Oakman was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cordova Blue Devils. Unfortunately, that's the fourth time they've come up short against the Blue Devils this season, with their most recent defeat being a 2-0 loss last Tuesday.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-14.

Cordova got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Lexee King out in front who had three digs and two aces. King is also on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 14 or more in each of the last nine games she's played. Chloe Kacharos was another key player, getting six kills and five digs.

Oakman's defeat dropped their record down to 6-14. As for Cordova, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 23-15.

Looking ahead, Oakman will square off against Winfield at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Cordova, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Carbon Hill at 9:30 a.m.
