Softball Recap: Carmi-White County Takes a Loss

After flying high against Fairfield on Thursday, Carmi-White County came back down to earth. The Bulldogs fell just short of the Mules by a score of 7-6 on Thursday. The Bulldogs were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Mules earlier this season, when they won 10-3.

Mia Evans made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Alayna Johnson, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI and one double.

Carmi-White County's loss dropped their record down to 8-10. As for Fairfield, their victory bumped their record up to 9-11.

Looking ahead, Carmi-White County will challenge Hamilton County at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Fairfield, they will square off against Harrisburg at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
