Soccer Recap: Garfield Comes Up Short

Garfield was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Southeast Pirates. If Garfield were looking for revenge after losing 8-0 to Southeast when the teams met back in September of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Hannah Timmons and Kaelyn Tasker scored both of Garfield's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 13 goals.

Garfield's defeat dropped their record down to 5-4-1. As for Southeast, their victory bumped their record up to 8-3.

Coming up, Garfield will be playing at home against LaBrae at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Southeast, they will head out on the road to take on Waterloo at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
