Basketball Game Preview: Carroll Chargers vs. Fort Wayne Concordia Lutheran Cadets

The Carroll Chargers will face off against the Fort Wayne Concordia Lutheran Cadets at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Carroll is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 50.3 points per game this season.

Carroll is headed into Friday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Wednesday. They were dealt a 91-41 loss at the hands of Warsaw. The game marked the Chargers' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Cala Haffner, who posted nine points and seven rebounds. Another player making a difference was Madi Gawthrop, who went 5 of 9 on her way to 11 points.

Meanwhile, Fort Wayne Concordia Lutheran came up short against DeKalb on Tuesday and fell 64-55. The Cadets haven't had much luck with the Barons recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.

Fort Wayne Concordia Lutheran's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 4-6. As for Carroll, their loss dropped their record down to 5-5.

Carroll strolled past Fort Wayne Concordia Lutheran in their previous meeting back in December of 2023 by a score of 59-44. The rematch might be a little tougher for Carroll since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
