Soccer Recap: Riverdale Comes Up Short

Riverdale was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Orion/Sherrard United. The match was a 0-0 toss-up at halftime, but Riverdale couldn't quite close it out.

Riverdale's defeat dropped their record down to 1-10. As for Orion/Sherrard, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 3-5-2 record this season.

Riverdale will host Canton at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Orion/Sherrard, they will take on Princeton at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Orion/Sherrard will be up against Princeton's rather soft defense (which has allowed 4.33 goals per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
