Volleyball Recap: St. Stephen's Episcopal Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for St. Stephen's Episcopal, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. They came out on top against the Texas Lions HomeSchool Lions by a score of 2-0 on Friday.

St. Stephen's Episcopal not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Texas Lions HomeSchool between 16 and 18 points across their sets. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-16.

St. Stephen's Episcopal can attribute much of their success to Katherine Oehler, who had five digs and two aces. That's the most aces Oehler has posted since back in August of 2024.

Oehler wasn't the only good server: St. Stephen's Episcopal was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 15 aces. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Texas Lions HomeSchool only served three aces.

The victory got St. Stephen's Episcopal back to even at 1-1. As for Texas Lions HomeSchool, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 1-1.

St. Stephen's Episcopal didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Non Varsity Tournament Opponent on the 8th. As for Texas Lions HomeSchool, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-1 loss against Grace Academy on the 8th.
