Volleyball Recap: Pacific Indians vs. St. James Tigers

Pacific had already won eight in a row and they went ahead and made it nine on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the St. James Tigers with a sharp 3-0 win. The Indians have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Tigers, too.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Pacific was: they took every set by at least 13 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-6, 25-12, 25-4.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Pacific to victory, but perhaps none more so than Averi Parker, who had five aces and ten assists. Those five aces gave Parker a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Reese Meyer, who had six aces.

Pacific couldn't miss and finished the game having scored on 55.1% of their attack attempts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as St. James only posted a hitting percentage of -7.1%.

Pacific has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 games, which provided a nice bump to their 20-5-1 record this season. As for St. James, they dropped their record down to 1-28 with the defeat, which was their 17th straight at home dating back to last season.

Pacific wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-1 victory against St. Clair on the 17th. St. James has also already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against Hermann on the 17th.
