Baseball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Tomball Memorial

It was a proper cat-fight when Tomball Memorial took on Klein Oak on Tuesday. The Wildcats had just enough and edged out the Panthers 4-2. That's two games straight that the Wildcats have won by exactly two runs.

Ethan Tramel tossed a big game, tossing 5.1 innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off five hits.

On the hitting side, Tomball Memorial's win was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Jake Barron, who went 1-for-4 with one stolen base and one run.

The victory (which was Tomball Memorial's third in a row) raised their record to 17-15-1. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.3 runs on average over those games. As for Klein Oak, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-11-2.

Tomball Memorial will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Panthers: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
