Preview: Paint Branch Panthers vs. Blair Blazers
Having just played yesterday, the Paint Branch Panthers will head out on the road to face off against the Blair Blazers at 7:15 p.m. on January 23rd. Paint Branch is looking to tack on another W to their five-game streak on the road.
Paint Branch stacked a sixth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Monday. Everything went their way against Walter Johnson as Paint Branch made off with a 78-57 victory. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Paint Branch got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Dennis Tamnou out in front who scored 17 points along with seven rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Tamnou has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Isaiah Lee, who scored 12 points along with five assists.
Meanwhile, even though Einstein scored an imposing 55 points last Friday, Blair still came out on top. Blair took their match against Einstein 64-55. That nine points margin sets a new team best for Blair this season.
Paint Branch's victory bumped their record up to 10-2. As for Blair, their win ended a seven-game drought on the road and puts them at 2-8.
Paint Branch strolled past Blair in their previous matchup back in December of 2022 by a score of 74-56. Will Paint Branch repeat their success, or does Blair have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
