Baseball Recap: Bethel Has No Trouble Against Heritage

While Bethel put up plenty of runs on Tuesday, the same can't be said for Heritage. The Bruins were the clear victors by a 12-0 margin over the Hurricanes. That 12 run margin sets a new team best for the Bruins this season.

Josh Flicek and Ryder Zeman did most of the damage at the plate: Flicek got on base in all four of his plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and one double, while Zeman went 3-for-4 with one home run and three RBI. Those three hits gave Zeman a new career-high. Conner Lamb was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and two runs.

Bethel always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .724. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

Bethel's victory bumped their record up to 8-6. As for Heritage, they are on a 19-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-16.

Coming up, Heritage will face off against King's Fork at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Bethel will be paying especially close attention to the Hurricanes' matchup: after the Hurricanes face off against the Bulldogs, they'll take on Bethel again at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
