Basketball Recap: Worthington Kilbourne Takes a Loss

Worthington Kilbourne played a tough contest on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were dealt a 61-25 loss at the hands of the Big Walnut Golden Eagles. The Wolves have struggled against the Golden Eagles recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.

Worthington Kilbourne lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Brylan Brown, who went 5 of 12 on his way to 13 points. That's the most points Brown has posted since back in December of 2023. The team also got some help courtesy of Zach Wolford, who posted five points and five rebounds.

Worthington Kilbourne's defeat dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Big Walnut, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-1.

Worthington Kilbourne wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 70-60 win against Wilson Hall on the 27th. As for Big Walnut, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 92-58 loss against Tri-Valley on the 23rd.
