Softball Recap: Arnold Marlins vs. Chipley Tigers
Arnold stacked a tenth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Tuesday. They never let the Chipley Tigers onto the board and left with a 14-0 win. The victory was familiar territory for Arnold who now have six in a row.
Arnold got a great performance from Bre Clark as she kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out 11 over five innings pitched. Clark has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in 22 consecutive pitching appearances.
At the plate, Kaycee McLellan was incredible, going 2-for-4 with a home run, three RBI, and two runs. Jayden Reyes was another key contributor, going 1-for-3 with a home run, two runs, and two RBI.
Arnold's win bumped their record up to 21-2. As for Chipley, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 5-17.
