Recap: Sargent Farmers vs. Hayden Tigers
The Sargent Farmers lost against the Hayden Tigers back in October of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. Sargent was dealt a 58-14 loss at the hands of Hayden. Sargent has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Hayden's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Grady Frentress led the charge by rushing for 177 yards and four touchdowns on only eight carries. Cam Cambell was another key contributor, rushing for 124 yards and two touchdowns on only ten carries.
Hayden's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB six times. The heavy lifting was done by Jd Case and Adrian Drew who racked up four sacks between them.
Sargent has not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-4 record this season. As for Hayden, their victory bumped their record up to 3-5.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Sargent will square off against Dove Creek at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Dove Creek presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Sargent in Colorado (Dove Creek is ranked ninth, while Sargent is ranked 46th). As for Hayden, they will head out on the road to face off against Soroco at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Soroco is coming into the contest on a six-game losing streak.
