Basketball Recap: Gateway Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

Gateway and Palmetto Ridge squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Gateway had to settle for second. They took a 66-50 bruising from the Palmetto Ridge Bears.

Palmetto Ridge's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jeriah Muldrow led the charge by going 8 of 11 to rack up 20 points and four steals. That's the most steals Muldrow has posted since back in January of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaydon Soto, who put up 13 points and four steals.

Gateway's defeat dropped their record down to 16-9. As for Palmetto Ridge, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 19-8 record this season.

As of now, neither Gateway nor Palmetto Ridge have any future games scheduled.
