Preview: WISH Academy vs. Animo Venice
WISH Academy will head out on the road to square off against Animo Venice at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (WISH Academy has four straight wins, Animo Venice has three straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
In what's become a running theme this season, WISH Academy gave their fans yet another huge victory on Monday. They put the hurt on Harbor Teacher with a sharp 3-0 victory. That's two games straight that WISH Academy has won by exactly three goals.
They were led to victory by the tag-team duo of
Julian Garnier and
Sami Sadeghi, who scored.
Meanwhile, last Friday just wasn't the day for Animo Venice's offense. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of TEACH Tech Charter.
WISH Academy has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 7-3-3 record this season. As for Animo Venice, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-9-1.
WISH Academy beat Animo Venice by a goal in their previous matchup back in December of 2023, winning 2-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for WISH Academy since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
