Chatfield had to skate by with only a one-set margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the three-set drubbing they dealt La Crescent on Tuesday. The Gophers were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Lancers. The victory continues a trend for the Gophers in their matchups with the Lancers: they've now won five in a row.

Chatfield walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the third set). The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-19, 25-15.

Cora Bicknese paced Chatfield's offense, picking up 18 kills. Bicknese got some help from Harper Goldsmith and her 33 assists. Goldsmith was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Chatfield's victory bumped their record up to 20-7. As for La Crescent, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-12.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Chatfield will face off against Byron at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for La Crescent, they will take on Cotter at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
