Baseball Recap: Alamo Heights Find Success

Alamo Heights won the last time they faced Wagner and things went their way on Friday too. The Mules walked away with a 5-2 victory over the Thunderbirds. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Mules.

Yul Salaburu spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned runs on five hits and racked up seven Ks.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Hunt Conger, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. That's the most hits he has posted since back in March.

Alamo Heights' record now sits at 10-17-1. As for Wagner, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 7-20.

Coming up, Alamo Heights will head out to square off against Tivy at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Mules are facing the Antlers at the right time seeing as the Antlers are stuck on a four-game losing streak. Wagner does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
