The Windsor Wizards will take on the Longmont Trojans at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Windsor is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 62.7 points per game this season.

Windsor is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They claimed a resounding 69-39 win over Pueblo East. Given the Wizards' advantage in MaxPreps' Colorado basketball rankings (they are ranked 29th, while the Eagles are ranked 126th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Madden Smiley continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, shooting 47% from the field en route to 20 points and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of John Backhaus, who posted eight points along with 16 boards and five assists.

Windsor was working as a unit and finished the game with 19 assists. They are 17-4 when they've passed the ball that well.

Meanwhile, Longmont beat Grand Junction 41-34 on Friday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Trojans.

Longmont's win came from a few key players Windsor will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Dominic Lombrano, who went 5-for-11 to rack up 14 points and four steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Longmont's points. Another player making a difference was Rhys Odom, who put up ten points.

Windsor has been performing well recently as they've won 12 of their last 15 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.0 points over those games. Longmont's record now sits at 16-8.

Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Windsor has been crashing the boards this season, having averaged 27.9 rebounds per game. However, it's not like Longmont struggles in that department as they've been averaging 25.2 boards. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.

Windsor strolled past Longmont when the teams last played back in February of 2024 by a score of 56-38. Does Windsor have another victory up their sleeve, or will Longmont turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
