Volleyball Recap: Steubenville Takes a Loss

Steubenville lost against Beaver Local on September 6th and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Big Red came up short against the Beavers, falling 3-0. The Big Red have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-17, 25-11.

Addison Snyder paced Steubenville's offense, picking up seven kills. Snyder got some help from Aubrey Slussar and her 18 assists. A'Rya Bigsby controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Karsyn Bowyer was the offensive standout of the contest as she had ten digs and three aces. What's more, she posted four assists, the most she's had over her last six matches. Bailee Baker also deserves some recognition as she served her first ace of the season.

Steubenville's loss dropped their record down to 11-8. As for Beaver Local, their victory was their 15th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 17-2.

Steubenville has already played their next matchup, a 3-2 defeat against Weir on the 2nd. As for Beaver Local, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-1 win against St. Clairsville on the 2nd.
