Baseball Recap: Fort Payne Comes Up Short

Fort Payne was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Hazel Green Trojans.

Fort Payne's defeat dropped their record down to 8-6. As for Hazel Green, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-6.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Hazel Green beat Fort Payne by a score of 8-3 later that day.
