Nate Lewis Sets Career High in Rushing Yards

Starting off the list is Villa Park's Nate Lewis, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. On Friday Lewis picked up a sack and made seven total tackles (2.0 for loss), good enough to also set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. He continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played.

San Juan Hills Gets a Boost from Herr in 30-7 Victory

Timmy Herr's big game helped extend San Juan Hills's winning streak to five on Friday. Herr did his part (and then some), throwing for 215 yards and three touchdowns while completing 87% of his passes for the 'W'.

Herr must have Newport Harbor's number; he was a force to be reckoned with the last time he faced them too. Herr rushed for 73 yards and two touchdowns on only ten carries, and also threw for 76 yards and three touchdowns the last time he and the Sailors duked it out back in September of 2023.
