Starting off the list is Villa Park's Nate Lewis, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Timmy Herr's big game helped extend San Juan Hills's winning streak to five on Friday. Herr did his part (and then some), throwing for 215 yards and three touchdowns while completing 87% of his passes for the 'W'.
Herr must have Newport Harbor's number; he was a force to be reckoned with the last time he faced them too. Herr rushed for 73 yards and two touchdowns on only ten carries, and also threw for 76 yards and three touchdowns the last time he and the Sailors duked it out back in September of 2023.

Glenn Baranoski Turns in Another Game with at Least Five Total Tackles
Sadly, Glenn Baranoski posting his best game of the season wasn't enough to lead Newport Harbor over San Juan Hills on Friday. Baranoski wasn't messing around, picking up a sack and making 15 total tackles. The game was his 13th straight with five or more total tackles dating back to last season.
On the season, Baranoski has averaged 11.5 total tackles per game and for the season has those 1 sack. He's made a big improvement compared to last season: at this point last year, he was only averaging 7.5 total tackles per game.
