Baseball Game Preview: Christian Fellowship vs. Gateway Legacy Christian Academy Lions

Christian Fellowship will take on the Gateway Legacy Christian Academy Lions at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Christian Fellowship is headed into Thursday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Monday. They lost 13-7 to Plaza Heights Christian Academy.

Carson Crockett was huge no matter where he played even without the win. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over four innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off three hits. Crockett was even better at the plate, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Crockett wasn't the only one making solid contact as five players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Brett Conklin, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3. That stolen base was Conklin's first of the season. Another was Carson File, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-4.

Meanwhile, Gateway Legacy Christian Academy came up short against St. Francis Borgia on Tuesday, falling 9-1. The Lions have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Christian Fellowship's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Gateway Legacy Christian Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-9.
