Soccer Game Preview: Dexter Southfield vs. Pomfret School

Dexter Southfield will head out to take on the Pomfret School Griffins at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. Dexter Southfield's last three contests have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Dexter Southfield fell victim to Concord Academy and their airtight defense on Friday. They fell just short of Concord Academy by a score of 1-0. The loss put an end to Dexter Southfield's undefeated start to the season.

Pomfret School fell on hard times earlier this season, but after back-to-back victories it seems like their luck might finally be changing. They came within a single goal of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against Marianapolis Prep. That's two games straight that Pomfret School have won by just one goal.

Pomfret School's win bumped their record up to 2-6. As for Dexter Southfield, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 1-1-2.

Dexter Southfield couldn't quite get it done against Pomfret School when the teams last played back in October of 2024 as they fell 3-1. Can Dexter Southfield avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
