Softball Recap: Boling Bulldogs vs. Rice Consolidated Raiders

Boling lost to Rice Consolidated back in March of 2021, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Thursday. The Boling Bulldogs walked away with an 11-6 victory over the Rice Consolidated Raiders. Considering the Bulldogs' hitters had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

Boling let Karli Senf and Jailianna Johnson loose on the outfield. Senf scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-1, while Johnson scored two runs while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances. The dominant performance gave Johnson a new career-high in runs. Another player making a difference was Calli Pardo, who scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in both of her plate appearances.

Boling's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Rice Consolidated, they dropped their record down to 0-3 with the defeat, which was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season.
