Basketball Recap: Pittsburg Comes Up Short at Home Against Woodsville

Pittsburg unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They had to suffer through a 79-45 loss at the hands of the Woodsville Engineers. The Panthers lost against the Engineers in their previous head to head back in January, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 53-44 score last time.

The victory was the third in a row for Woodsville, bringing their record for this year to 3-0.

Pittsburg will square off against Sunapee at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Woodsville, they will take on Holy Family Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Woodsville knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past three matches -- so hopefully Holy Family Academy likes a good challenge.
