Negaunee won the last time they faced Gladstone and things went their way on Friday too. The Miners were the clear victors by a 25-2 margin over the Braves. Given the Miners' advantage in MaxPreps' Michigan football rankings (they are ranked 84th, while the Braves are ranked 215th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Negaunee has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it. Those wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 24 points this season. As for Gladstone, they are on a seven-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.
