Baseball Recap: Crest Takes a Loss

Crest fought the good fight in their extra-innings matchup against Central Heights on Monday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Vikings by a score of 7-6. The Lancers haven't had much luck with the Vikings recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Crest saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jensen Barker, who went 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. Kole Walter was another, going 1-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

Crest's defeat dropped their record down to 7-6. As for Central Heights, their win was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 11-0.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Vikings beat Crest by a score of 7-1 later that day.
