Baseball Recap: Pine Creek's Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Saturday

Pine Creek dropped their record down to 19-4 on Saturday, which also ended the team's 11-game streak of wins. They came up short against the Castle View Sabercats, falling 15-1. The game marked the Eagles' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

As for Castle View, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 19-6. Their hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

For Castle View's part, Keyan Lundvall made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he struck out six batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit (and only one walk). Lundvall has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with one home run and four RBI. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in April.

In other batting news, Samuel Harry was a standout: he went 2-for-3 with four runs, two stolen bases, and two doubles. Those two doubles gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Tyler Feldhake, who went 3-for-4 with one home run and three RBI.
