Baseball Recap: Pine Creek's Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Saturday

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Pine Creek can now relate to. They came up short against the Castle View Sabercats on Saturday, falling 15-1. Having soared to a lofty 11 runs in the game before, the Eagles couldn't push the score so high this time.

With the defeat, Pine Creek broke their 11-game winning streak and moved their record to 19-4. As for Castle View, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-6 record this season.

Pine Creek does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Castle View, they are taking a road trip to square off against Grandview at 9:30 a.m. on Friday. The Wolves' pitching crew has only allowed 2.5 runs per game this season, so the Sabercats' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
