Baseball Game Preview: Greenup County Musketeers vs. Raceland Rams

Greenup County hasn't had much luck against Raceland recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Musketeers will welcome the Rams at 6:00 p.m. Greenup County is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.3 runs per game this season.

On Thursday, Greenup County beat Mason County 8-3. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Musketeers.

Gage Lamarque was incredible, going 2-for-3 with five RBI, one triple, and one run. Those five RBI gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Ty Logan, who went 1-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.

Meanwhile, Raceland unfortunately witnessed the end of their seven-game winning streak on Sunday. They came up short against Owensboro Catholic, falling 11-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Rams have suffered since May 4, 2024.

Raceland's defeat dropped their record down to 15-5. As for Greenup County, their win bumped their record up to 13-10.

Greenup County couldn't quite get it done against Raceland in their previous meeting back in May of 2024 as they fell 5-2. Can the Musketeers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
