Volleyball Game Preview: Big Walnut Golden Eagles vs. Westerville South Wildcats

The Big Walnut Golden Eagles are taking a road trip to challenge the Westerville South Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Westerville South took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Big Walnut, who comes in off a win.

On Tuesday, Big Walnut made easy work of Hayes and carried off a 3-0 win. The victory continues a trend for the Golden Eagles in their matchups with the Pacers: they've now won four in a row.

Big Walnut never let Hayes on the board, but things got pretty close in the third set. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-17, 25-23.

Meanwhile, it was a classic North v. South duel when Westerville South duked it out with Westerville North on Tuesday. The Wildcats lost 3-0 to the Warriors. The Wildcats have struggled against the Warriors recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost meeting.

Westerville South was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Westerville North work for it, especially in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 28-26, 25-16.

Westerville South now has a losing record of 5-6. As for Big Walnut, their win bumped their record up to 8-5.

Big Walnut skirted past Westerville South 3-2 in their previous matchup two weeks ago. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Golden Eagles since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
