Softball Game Preview: Covenant Christian Academy Lions vs. South Terrebonne Gators

The Covenant Christian Academy Lions will head out on the road to square off against the South Terrebonne Gators at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. South Terrebonne took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Covenant Christian Academy, who comes in off a win.

It was a proper cat-fight when Covenant Christian Academy took on Hanson Memorial on Tuesday. The Lions were the clear victors by a 13-1 margin over the Tigers. The Lions haven't had any issues with the Tigers recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.

Meanwhile, South Terrebonne unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Wednesday. They fell 8-3 to Destrehan.

Covenant Christian Academy's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-8. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for South Terrebonne, they now have a losing record of 8-9-1.

Covenant Christian Academy suffered a grim 13-6 defeat to South Terrebonne in their previous meeting back in February. Can the Lions avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
