Basketball Recap: Eufaula Takes a Loss

Eufaula was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 44-36 to the Russell County Warriors. The Tigers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Warriors earlier this season, when they won 47-43.

Russell County was led to victory by Camyra Toney and Mckenzie Word. Toney almost dropped a double-double on nine points and 13 rebounds, while Word posted 23 points along with five boards and three steals. The game was Word's sixth in a row with at least ten points.

Eufaula's defeat dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Russell County, they now have a winning record of 11-10.

Eufaula has already played their next match (against Carroll), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Russell County is taking a road trip to face off against Pike Road at 3:30 p.m. on January 25th.
