It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Coolidge had no problem doing just that on Thursday. They slipped by the Dunbar Crimson Tide 15-14. This was a revenge game for the Colts: when they faced off against the Crimson Tide back in September, they had to take a 30-17 defeat.

Aleem Moore threw for 157 yards and one touchdown. Chris Palmer was his top target, picking up 78 receiving yards.

The win was the fifth in a row for Coolidge, bringing their record up to 8-4. The victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 4.2 points on average over those games. As for Dunbar, the loss snapped their winning streak at five games and leaves them with a 6-6 record.

Coming up, Coolidge will take on Eastern at 5:00 p.m. on the 6th. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Colts 11.8, the Ramblers 13.5) so any points scored will be well earned. Dunbar does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
