Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Hubbertville walked away with it. They came out on top against the Berry Wildcats by a score of 49-36 on Monday. The win was nothing new for the Lions as they're now sitting on seven straight.

Hubbertville's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Addison Tucker, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 12 steals. Tucker is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed three or more in the last four games she's played. Another player making a difference was Ella Kate Curington, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 12 boards.

Hubbertville smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive boards in seven consecutive matches.

When it comes to explaining why Berry lost, don't look at Maggie Mauldin. Despite the final result, she dropped a double-double on 19 points and 11 rebounds. With that strong performance, Mauldin is now averaging an impressive 15.1 points per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Kryssa Fields, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and 11 boards.

Hubbertville has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 15-8 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.6 points per game. As for Berry, they dropped their record down to 7-15 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road.

Hubbertville wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 45-38 win against Lynn on the 4th. Berry does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
