Basketball Game Preview: Barrington Fillies/Broncos vs. Fremd Vikings

Barrington hasn't had much luck against Fremd recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Barrington Fillies/Broncos will look to defend their home court against the Fremd Vikings at 7:30 p.m. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Barrington took a loss when they played away from home on Saturday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They put the hurt on Schaumburg with a sharp 47-27 win. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory the Fillies/Broncos have posted since December 6, 2024.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Fremd). They blew past Hoffman Estates, posting an 82-5 win. The Vikings have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 12 contests by 21 points or more this season.

Fremd pushed their record up to 15-4 with the victory, which was their 18th straight at home dating back to last season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 30.8 points. As for Barrington, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a massive bump to their 8-10 record this season.
