It's playoff time, and South Granville had no trouble coming through when it counted. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Farmville Central Jaguars an 11-0 shutout on Thursday. The result was nothing new for the Vikings, who have now won 17 games by six runs or more so far this season.

Addisen Goodwin was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. Another player making a difference was Tiatana Bates, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, one double, and one RBI.

South Granville always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .520. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Farmville Central only posted an OBP of .300.

South Granville's win was their 13th straight at home, which pushed their record up to 22-3. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.8 runs on average over those games. As for Farmville Central, the defeat snapped their winning streak at six games and leaves them with a 18-5 record.
