Saydel came tearing into Wednesday's match with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They blew past the Nevada Cubs 12-3. Considering the Eagles have won nine contests by more than five runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Saydel pushed their record up to 21-5 with the win, which was their seventh straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.0 runs over those games. As for Nevada, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-10 record this season.

Saydel has already played their next match, a 5-2 win against Winterset on the 3rd. As for Nevada, they will be playing at home against Marshalltown at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. The Bobcats have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 10.54 runs per game on average), something the Cubs will no doubt try to take advantage of.
