Volleyball Recap: Midway Wins Going Away Against Heide Trask

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Midway had no problem doing just that on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Heide Trask Titans with a sharp 3-0 win. The Raiders haven't had any issues with the Titans recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Midway not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Heide Trask between 17 and 20 points across their sets. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-20, 25-19.

Ella Clark was her usual excellent self, getting seven digs and one block. She is also on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 12 or more in each of the last 48 games she's played dating back to last season.

Despite the loss, Heide Trask still got an impressive performance from Riley Grace Parker, who had 12 assists and six digs.

Midway's win bumped their record up to 17-6. As for Heide Trask, their defeat dropped their record down to 15-7.

Coming up, Midway is taking a road trip to challenge Wallace-Rose Hill at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Heide Trask does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
