Volleyball Recap: Salem Academy Charter Comes Up Short

After flying high against Prospect Hill Academy last Thursday, Salem Academy Charter came back down to earth. The Navigator fell 3-1 to the Lynn Vo-Tech Tigers on Tuesday.

Salem Academy Charter started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 22-25, 25-20, 25-16, 25-23.

Christian Quezada paced Salem Academy Charter's offense, picking up 14 kills. Quezada got some help from Joshua Cayco and his 35 assists. Finally, Quezada was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high three blocks.

Salem Academy Charter's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Lynn Vo-Tech, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Salem Academy Charter didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-2 victory against Collegiate Charter School of Lowell on the 4th. As for Lynn Vo-Tech, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Lynn English on the 3rd.
