Basketball Recap: Christel House Comes Up Short

Christel House lost against Indianapolis Crispus Attucks back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Christel House Eagles came up short against the Indianapolis Crispus Attucks Tigers, falling 82-58. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 115th, while the Tigers are ranked 29th).

When it comes to explaining why Christel House lost, don't look at Terrance Meredith. Despite the final result, he posted 18 points and six boards. The match was Meredith's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Josiah Jackson, who went 6 for 9 en route to 14 points.

Dezmon Briscoe continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Indianapolis Crispus Attucks, going 8 of 13 on his way to 20 points in addition to eight rebounds and four blocks. With that strong performance, Briscoe is now averaging an impressive 15.6 points per game. Chris Hurt also deserves some recognition as he posted his first blocks of the season.

Christel House's loss dropped their record down to 12-5. As for Indianapolis Crispus Attucks, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-5.
