Pinckneyville has gone a perfect 8-0 against Frankfort recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Panthers will be playing in front of their home fans against the Redbirds at 4:30 p.m. Pinckneyville's pitching crew has only allowed 3.9 runs per game this season, so Frankfort's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Pinckneyville came out on top against Benton on Tuesday thanks in part to the team's impressive ten-run second inning. The Panthers blew past the Rangers 18-4. The result was nothing new for the Panthers, who have now won seven matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

Meanwhile, Frankfort came up short against Harrisburg on Thursday, falling 12-3. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Redbirds have suffered against the Bulldogs since April 14, 2022.

Frankfort saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Presley Sollers, who went 2-for-4 with one run. Ashley Rolla also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

The victory made it two in a row for Pinckneyville and bumps their season record up to 11-2. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 16.5 runs over those games. As for Frankfort, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 11-4.

Pinckneyville beat Frankfort 6-3 in their previous matchup last Monday. Will the Panthers repeat their success, or do the Redbirds have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
