Basketball Recap: University City Find Success

If Helix wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played University City, they should've done a better job of containing TyShaun Harris. The University City Centurions came out on top against the Helix Highlanders by a score of 58-48 on Friday thanks in part to Harris, who almost dropped a double-double on 13 points and nine boards. He continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played.

Mathias Baluyot was another key player, putting up 11 points and five rebounds. Those 11 points gave him a new career-high.

University City now has a winning record of 7-6. As for Helix, their record now sits at 5-13.

The future could be bright for both University City and Helix: their next opponents haven't had the best luck recently. University City will try to hand Lincoln their third-straight loss when the two meet at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Helix will try to hand Patrick Henry their third-straight defeat when the two meet at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
