American Christian School came tearing into Monday's matchup with four straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against Abundant Life Academy.

The match was a true back-and-forth as no team won consecutive sets, but in the end it was American Christian School who won the one that mattered. The final score came out to 25-17, 20-25, 25-18.

American Christian School got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Holly Cilento out in front who had ten digs, eight kills, and five aces. Those ten digs gave Cilento a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Alexandra Rim, who had five digs and five aces.

They weren't the only good servers: American Christian School was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 14 aces. That's the most aces they've managed all season.

American Christian School's record now sits at 7-2. As for Abundant Life Academy, their defeat ended a three-match streak of wins at home and dropped them to 4-2.

Looking ahead, American Christian School will challenge Calvary Academy at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Abundant Life Academy, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Ocean County Christian Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
