Football Recap: Stroudsburg Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Stroudsburg can now relate to. They were dealt a 49-14 loss at the hands of the Parkland Trojans on Friday. The Mountaineers haven't had much luck with the Trojans recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Tj Lawrence produced another solid performance rushing for 68 yards and a pair of TDs, while also picking up 80 receiving yards and one touchdown for Parkland. Lawrence really caught the secondary sleeping when he pulled down a catch that went for 80 yards. Nassim Adams was another key player, picking up 61 receiving yards and one score.

Stroudsburg now has a losing record of 5-6. As for Parkland, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 11-0.

Stroudsburg does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Parkland, they will take on Nazareth Area at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Trojans will be up against the Blue Eagles' rather soft defense (which has allowed 31.5 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
