Basketball Recap: North Stanly Comets vs. South Stanly Rowdy Rebel Bulls

If North Stanly was riding high fresh off their 89-16 takedown of Gray Stone Day last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The North Stanly Comets took a hard 58-44 fall against the South Stanly Rowdy Rebel Bulls on Tuesday. The game marked the Comets' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Leading South Stanly to victory were Jayden Woods and Gavyn Miller. Woods posted ten points in addition to eight steals and five rebounds, while Miller put up 21 points along with eight boards and three blocks. That's the most steals Woods has posted since back in November of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Cohen Whitley, who had 12 points.

The loss was their first on the road , dropping their record down to 17-3. As for South Stanly, they pushed their record up to 14-7 with the victory, which was their seventh straight at home.
