Basketball Recap: Grenada Chargers vs. Center Hill Mustangs
While it was all tied up 25-25 at halftime, the Grenada Chargers were not quite the Center Hill Mustangs's equal in the second half on Friday. Grenada received a tough blow as they fell 57-41 to the Mustangs. Grenada has not had much luck with the Mustangs recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Grenada's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jarques Perry, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 16 rebounds. Perry has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last 14 times he's played. Another player making a difference was Caleb Howard, who scored 13 points along with seven rebounds.
Grenada's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-13. As for Center Hill, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 11-11.
Grenada won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against the Pirates at 2:30 p.m. on February 3rd. Center Hill does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
